Hubert Deimel founds the company under the name "Hubert Deimel Haushaltwarenfabrik".
The "Famos" potato peeler is manufactured and sold. The name of the peeler is later given to the company for kitchen utensils, Famos GmbH, for a long time.
1988
His son, Christian Deimel, takes over the management of the company.
2001 - 2012
Acquisition of the companies Westmark (provider of the name Westmark GmbH), Monopol, Sieger and Saleen.
2026
70 years of Westmark – tradition with a future. Now in its second and third generation, Felix Deimel joins the management team. Moving forward together – with an eye to the future.

LOCATIONS
The headquarters of our company is in Lennestadt-Elspe, in the beautiful Sauerland region. Here you will find large parts of the production, the entire warehouse as well as the administration. Another, smaller production unit is in Wittelsberg (near Marburg).

With over 130 permanent employees, we manufacture a large proportion of our kitchen utensils here in Germany (Made in Germany). Familiar teams of long-standing employees with a lot of experience and new young and innovative colleagues form a respectful and constructive team.

PRODUCTION
In the departments of plastic injection moulding, plastic extrusion, aluminium die-casting, zinc die-casting and metal processing, a large number of reliable kitchen tools - Made in Germany - is manufactured every day. The in-house toolmaking department provides the necessary technical support. Colleagues in the packaging department ensure that each item is carefully packed in the appropriate sales packaging.

QUALITY
NEW PLASTIC MATERIAL
In a recently published study, it was found that black plastic material can contain flame retardants if it is made from recycled material. CNN and the Bild newspaper reported on this.
The plastic kitchen helpers we manufacture are made exclusively from certified virgin plastic that does not contain any flame retardants (for example decabromodiphenyl ether => DecaBDE). The raw materials fulfil all the requirements of the German Food and Commodities Act (LFGB) and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
